Ilkley
October 10, 2018
7.30pm
Mukesh has moved from Kenya to a drizzly, grey Keighley. He’s hoping for fame, fortune, The Rolling Stones and a nice girl… The Guardian columnist Nikesh Shukla introduces his latest powerful, funny story of families and love. His novels exploring the lives of British Asians capture the cultural moment and transcend assumptions. Shukla’s debut novel, Coconut Unlimited, was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award and he is the editor of The Good Immigrant, the acclaimed collection of essays by British writers of colour about race and immigration.
